So tired

The green chair and the purple couch will make a lot of appearances on this blog.  Frankie pretty much claimed the green chair as her own the first day she came to live with us and will meow at you if you sit on it.

One day Frankie was really tired.  Like really really tired.  So tired that she was hanging off the chair and just kept on sleeping.

Helper

Frankie loves to make the bed.  When I get the sheets out of the dryer she runs into the bedroom and jumps on the bed in anticipation of helping.  And by helping I mean she attacks the fitted sheet as I try to stretch it out and get it on the mattress.  Then when I put the regular sheet on she runs around like a maniac underneath it and then spends some quality time under there doing whatever cats do under sheets.  She loves it.

Face Plant Friday!

Here we have a different take on the classic face plant.  Frankie uses the back of the couch to smash her face.

Feet!

One of Frankie's favourite sleeping spots is on the highest shelf in the closet on top of a vintage Hello Kitty suitcase full of pointy bits and bobs.  How it is comfortable, I have no idea.  But if you can't find Frankie, you have about a 95% chance of finding her there and when you do find her you never know what you'll see.

Sock of shame

When we watch tv on the couch Frankie either sits on top of the couch behind us or in between us depending on if she's in a cuddle mood or not.  The second I get up to get something or do something Frankie steals my spot.  She's ruthless!  When I come back to reclaim my spot I usually say, Frankie move and she looks up at me and does the silent meow where her mouth moves but nothing comes out.  Or it's one of the quietest most pathetic of meows you have ever heard.  If I give her a little nudge she meows like OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS and grudgingly moves over.  This is a dance we do on a daily basis.

One day I got up to grab the laundry from the dryer and lo and behold Frankie stole my spot so I made her wear the sock of shame.  I don't think she cared because she had my spot and that's all that matters.

Box or Bag Mondays

Since I seem to have an endless supply of Frankie in a box or Frankie in a bag pictures, let's try Box or Bag Monday's (we all need something to look forward to on Monday mornings..... including myself).... what will it be?!  Check in on Monday's to find out.  For now, I'll leave you with a preview:

ps - yes I know this was posted on a Tuesday but I just thought of it today.

Laundry Cat

Frankie has a very strange obsession with this closet.  Inside is our washer/dryer and she goes into the bathroom at least once a day and sings to the closet.  A kind of weird howling/mewling sound... like she's howling at the moon.  I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that the door is closed and she doesn't like closed doors of any kind or she just has some weird obsessive love for the washer/dryer closet.  If we leave the door open she doesn't do anything other than peek inside then run away at lightning speed.

If we leave the dryer door open she enjoys sitting inside it, especially if there are warm undies in it.

Powder face

Frankie will randomly appear from wherever cats go when they disappear in your own house with white powder on one side of her face.  We've tried to find out where it comes from but can't seem to figure it out.  We think it is probably her secret stash of cocaine that she dives into to deal with all the kisses.

The Hunter

I just love it when Frankie looks out the window like this.  It makes her look like she's wearing fluffy pants.

Face Plant Friday!

This will be a regular post every Friday.  If you've never seen the rare phenomenon of a cat face planting, well here you go.  Frankie loooooves to face plant.  She sleeps in the face plant position all the time.  It's very strange and we don't know how she breathes.  Most people don't believe us when we tell them she does this but it happens regularly and they are shocked to witness it in real life.  So every Friday you can look forward to a new face plant photo.  They can get pretty crazy sometimes but we'll start off with the classic face plant position.

The many stages of the box

Like most cats, Frankie loves boxes.  I think she gets more excited when a package comes in the mail than we do.  The moment a box hits the floor she has to be inside of it... immediately.  The other day I got some Toms shoes and if you've bought these shoes before you know their shoe box is smaller than most shoe boxes but ol' fat pants Frankie had to shove herself inside.

Oh what have we here?  I will fit in this box if it kills me!

See, I am in the box!

But I want to be in the box like this... ehn! (box almost explodes)

Fine, I will just sit like this.

And there she remained.
